Colonel Judd Grace

Colonel Judd Grace retired on 1 June 1977 following a 27-year career in the U.S. Air Force. While on active duty, Colonel Grace participated in local AFCEA affairs serving as Executive VP in the Seoul Korea Chapter for 2 years. When he returned to Omaha in 1973, he served in numerous positions with the Greater Omaha Chapter including VP membership, publicity and programs. Following retirement from the Air Force, he continued to support the chapter as President for 1 year and board member until he departed the area in 1999.

A 30-year AFCEA member, chapter officer and participant has been rewarding for Colonel Grace. Chapter membership increased in both chapters in which he served as an officer and board member. Professionalism, scholarships to deserving individuals and community involvement have always been first and foremost in his endeavors.

Colonel Grace assisted in the development and management of Mid-America Symposiums from 1984 until 1990. The many industry exhibits and numerous participants attending provided a huge financial base for the chapter sponsored scholarships that continues.

The Omaha Chapter of AFCEA recognizes Colonel Grace, who is currently living in New Jersey, but still active on our rolls. His vision, hard work, and devotion to AFCEA have inspired other board members to recreate the former glory of the chapter.
