Every year the Greater Omaha Chapter (GOC) members are asked to nominate members who have notable accomplishments in their respective areas for recognition in either one of our 'local awards' or 'AFCEA International awards.' Our Chapter has many deserving members who have given their time, energy, and expertise to ensure the GOC has a robust future and you can make sure they are recognized by nominating them – but it must start with you! Whether they demonstrated this dedication by excellent leadership or through the hours of hard work, nominating them for an award is a simple way of recognizing their volunteered time is vital to maintaining the high quality of our activities. Our Chapter is undeniably better because of the efforts of these individuals. Now we have the opportunity to let them know we value their dedication and that their hard work has not gone unnoticed.

Both types of awards shall be presented at the culmination luncheon for the BOD term, typically in June of each year.

Chapter Quarterly Awards

Fall Annual Awards (Due 1 Oct)

Winter Annual Awards (Due 1 Feb)

Spring Annual Awards (Due 1 Apr)

SPECIAL NOTE: Our 'Spring Annual Awards' basically mirror AFCEA International offerings. We have done this in the event a nominee for an AFCEA International Award is not selected; the chapter then reserves the right to consider the applicant for one of our 'local' awards. Chapter members can apply for any applicable AFCEA International or local chapter award, but should not apply the same award submission for both categories (that’s why non-selected international award submissions are considered at the local level).
