2007 METRO Science & Engineering Fair

1st Place Senior Category
(grades 9 - 12)

Pictured is our Chapter's selection for 1st place in the senior category at the Metropolitan Science & Engineering Fair 2007 held at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Omaha NE on 10 Mar 07. The project is “The Performance of Programming Languages” and was prepared by Michael Blecha, an 11th grade student from Burke High School, Omaha, NE. Michael conducted a comparison of the different programming languages, documenting the performance of each. Michael won the $100 prize for the senior category.

1st Place Junior Category
(grades 6 - 8)

 
In the junior category, Connor Rise, an 8th grade student from Brownell-Talbot Jr High School, Omaha, NE was the top winner for his structural engineering exhibit of “The Windy City: Building a Wind-Friendly Cityscape.” Connor received the $100 prize for the junior category.
