AFCEA - Greater Omaha Chapter

Welcome to the Omaha Chapter of AFCEA

Omaha Chapter - Chapter Information

Greetings and welcome to the Greater Omaha AFCEA Chapter Homepage.

Our chapter along with AFCEA International serves as a bridge between government requirements and industry capabilities, representing the top government, industry and military professionals in the fields of information technology, communications and intelligence. Locally, our strategic partners include the 55th Wing, USSTRATCOM, the Air Force Weather Agency, local defense contractors and the Peter Kiewit Institute just to name a few!

As President, of this model chapter I am proud of the relationships we have built and fostered throughout the Greater Omaha community. In addition to a great working environment with our many sponsors and members,  our chapter is also dedicated to developing future leaders in our profession through scholarships and one-on-one participation with our local elementary schools, high schools and colleges. In a typical year, the chapter gives away up to $13,000 in college scholarships to individuals working towards IT-related degrees.

Like most local chapters, we remain engaged with the community at large via monthly luncheons with guest speakers, Tech-Expos, and other social events like our annual golf tournament.  And this year, we’re proud to partner with AFCEA International and USSTRATCOM as they host their inaugural Space and Cyberspace Symposium at the Qwest Center this November.  Like any other organization, our success is a direct reflection of the support we receive from our chapter members, vendors, and local community.  Without them, we cannot do what we do -- Foster the future of our profession through our many community outreach efforts and scholarships.  Improve DoD Cyber-Tech capabilities through partnering with STRATCOM, Industry, and AFCEA International.  And, grow our diverse chapter through active recruiting/outreach efforts and programs.

With that said, we'd like to encourage you to become a Program Sponsor or member and join the Greater Omaha AFCEA Chapter today. In addition to professional networking, some of the membership benefits include a monthly subscription to Signal magazine, participation in our monthly luncheons and an opportunity for awards and scholarships.
